The tools are protected by a floating license, which means a small license server needs to be running somewhere on your network.
This will typically be a workstation, a studio server, or any machine that stays on during the day.
Once it’s up, any machine on the same network can use the tools without any per-machine configuration.
For a single artist working at home, that usually just means running the server on the same machine you work on.
